About PVMA
The Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) is the only statewide professional membership organization dedicated exclusively to the profession of veterinary medicine and the interests of veterinarians, their clients, and patients.

Established in 1883, PVMA membership has grown from its original 22 founding members to an organization representing over 1,600 veterinarians and 500 veterinary students. Our members represent the broad spectrum of veterinary medicine, including - but not limited to - small animal, large animal, exotic, bovine, and equine practitioners, and those veterinarians working in research and academic capacities. Today, PVMA not only provides an extensive list of benefits and discounted services to its membership, but lobbies on veterinary-related legislative issues, spearheads new initiatives - like project
PENNSYLVANIA - to benefit the veterinary profession, and hosts multiple continuing education events each year.

The PVMA website provides information on the association, membership information, continuing education information, helpful tips for pet owners, and links for sponsors and exhibitors.
